Why am I having trouble with my Zillow connection?

Mint has partnered with Zillow to include the value of your real estate in your overall financial picture. Go here to learn how to add your property.

However, some users might not be able to find and add their homes to Mint via a Zillow Zestimate. Here are the main reasons why:

  • You live in a non-disclosure state (Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, New Mexico, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming), which means home prices aren’t public information.
  • Your local government hasn’t updated their records, which are a main source of info for Zillow. This can affect new homes in particular.

If your property can’t be found or the value doesn’t match what’s on Zillow.com, the best thing to do is to wait and try to connect your property later.

If you live in a non-disclosure state or don’t want to wait to add your property, you can add it as a manual account, as long as you know its value. Here’s how:

  1. Sign in to Mint.com.
  2. Select +Add Accounts from the menu at the top of the page.
  3. Select +Add a property.
  4. Select Other.
  5. Select Miscellaneous items from the drop-down menu, then select Next.
  6. Enter the estimated value of your property and select Add it.
