How do I split and un-split transactions?

You can split a any cleared transaction by following the steps below: 

  1. Click the transaction you want to split and click Edit Details.
  2. Click the Split Icon , located under the transaction amount. 
  3. After clicking the icon, a new box will appear: Split Your Transaction.
  4. Within the box you can enter the desired amount, edit the merchant name or change the transaction category. 
  5. Click on I'm Done to save the changes.

Note: This option is not available for manually entered or uncleared transactions.

Once you have split a transaction, the Split icon will show in the transactions tab next to the Category column.

If you’d like to revert a split transaction, please follow the steps below:

  1. Locate the split transaction that you’d like to revert.
  2. Go to Edit Details and navigate to the Split button again.
  3. Click on the 'x' next to the split transaction itself to revert the split.
  4. Make any other necessary changes (such as changing the amount back to the original amount).
  5. Click I'm Done to save the changes.
